TLC Nursery is a Wonderful Place!

Kitty and I went to TLC on Sunday to buy some spinach.  So, about an hour later we came out with all kinds of great plants!  We planted red & yellow peppers, eggplant, spinach, onions, 5 more tomato plants, and another flat of strawberries.  Chelsey planted the potatoes in the tires yesterday, so all of our early planting should be done.  Now we're going to try a raised bed made from hay bales - sounds really cool.  We are also going to start building our screened garden house so we can sit and enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of our labors!

More Goodies Planted!

Kitty, Melody, Betty, Eric and I got some more planting done yesterday.  We planted strawberries, tomatoes, green peppers, cauliflower and head lettuce.  Everything looks great!  Chelsey will be adding potatoes soon.  This is going to be a great year!

Preparations Coming Together

We've gotten a lot of work done over the last week and a half! Early growers planted and all the beds are almost all weeded and prepared. Next month is Herb Fest in Sand Springs, so we will be expanding our herb gardens! Going to be starting on the screened garden house soon. We'll have a wonderful spot to sit, talk and enjoy our beautiful garden!

Spring is almost here!

It's that time of year!  Time to start preparing the garden and planting early growers.  Quite a few people got together after church last Sunday and planted onions, garlic, lettuce, kale and a few other things in the raised beds.  Kitty and I have been weeding and preparing the soil in the ground beds.  We are planning on adding two more raised beds and will be starting on that soon.  We've got other big plans and are really looking forward to a bountiful harvest this year!
